Water line or water tank?

A coffee machine gets its water either from a fixed water line (mains) or from a refillable water tank. The choice depends on the space and the volume of use.

A fixed water line suits workplaces where a lot of coffee is consumed: the water does not need to be filled by hand and never runs out. There needs to be a water point nearby.
A water tank suits spaces with no water point or where the machine needs to be moved easily. The tank is filled by hand, so heavy use means plenty of refills.
